Ethylene glycols are organic chemicals that are basic building block of other chemicals used to make consumer and industrial products.

Ethylene glycols find many diverse industrial uses which include hydraulic fluids and brake fluids; hydroscopic agents for paper, cork and textile conditioning; plasticizer formulations and raw materials for ester and polyester production. 

The ethylene glycol family's solvency properties are useful in custom formulation of paints, dyes, inks and other blended products. Ethylene glycols also have a high boiling point, which makes them an excellent choice for a number of automotive engine coolants and heat transfer fluids.

DEG is used in the production of unsaturated polyester resins and polyols, and TEG is used extensively as a dehydrating agent for natural gas.
